I met a guy at a Fourth-Of-July party last night in a vintage ringer tee, cutoffs, and cowboy boots, who was drinking a Bud 40 “for America.”

But due to the shortage of bonafide hipsters in Arkansas, a few of my friends and I have begun assuming that pretty much everyone is a hipster. It’s an enriching practice, watching rednecks and assuming that they’re only ironically rednecks.

Dorky-looking man in full-out biker gear at Starbucks? Bet he’s a hipster.

Probably a good tactic, but you’ve got Vino’s. That place seems pretty cool. Ive only been once. Then theres the Clinton musuem. We all know how much hipsters love irrelevant political figures. And I know I saw a sign saying The Red Elvises were playing some place on the street were the Flying Saucer is. So that’s at least two venues.

In my defense of my almost defense for Little Rock, I only spent a week there and  I was there for school and was helping get your current governor elected as part of one of my Poli Sci classes. We’re totally BFF.

You should call up whoever arranges these things and get the First Lady of Arkansas to give a bunch of hipsters a tour of the governors mansion. There’s a Saturday afternoon.

AND! What about the ducks that march through the lobby of that hotel and live in the penthouse! They should be your hipster mascot.

Also, while I’m going on about Arkansas. Why not a GPOYW in front of those sweet brass doors on the capital building that don’t even open?

While I’m on the subject. I had the worst mexican food I have ever had in Little Rock.
