Coffee Shop Story #3
There is a gentleman, and I use the word loosely, on the phone two tables away from me. He has been on the phone for the last hour and a half. He is trying to sell his house, has just moved to Austin and needs a place to stay (he’s been calling craigslist listings non-stop), has recently split with his significant other, and thinks that she should “jump in the lake”
He’s obnoxious.
I won’t deny his right to use his phone in public, but this is a talk in person, or stare at your computer screen blankly kind of place. Not, a yell in your phone over the coffee grinder kind of place. Go outside to talk on your cell for an extended period of time like the rest of us.
Also, he has two windows computers open on two separate tables. In my opinion, you can do work at a coffeeshop, but it is not your office. Place one computer in your bag when you’re not using it. Why would you even need two windows computers?!?
